THANKS and help for the TEAM ...

Dear friends and family,

This past month has been the most demanding, exhausting, painful, and challenging of my entire life. However, it has also been the most incredible, rewarding, and proudest days I have ever experienced. I have hit mental and physical walls and somehow pushed past them. Ihave pushed my body to its absolute limit, and been rewarded for it.I have felt like I was going to die at some points, and burst withpride and emotion at others. I rode up mountains and crashed downothers. We've ridden through cities, towns, forests, desserts, hills, canyons, and even made it through the god forsaken state of Nevada. I have had incredible interactions with people with disabilities thatI will never forget. It is an amazing experience to truly see someone for their abilities and not their disabilities. We see what people can do and not what they can't. We wakeup before sunrise, and sometimes spend 10 hours on the bike. Even so, there is no place Iwould rather be and nothing I would rather be doing.
I could not be out here if it weren't for the incredible support I've received throughout this entire process. However, some of my teamates have not had the incredible fortune that I have. One of my teamates, Jon Cook from Chattanooga TN who attends Lenoir Rhyne University in North Carolina, is having some difficulty fundraising. This is a guy who I have bled with, sweat with, and cried with. Every day he pushes the team, makes hilarious sarcastic comments, and makes the teambetter. I have learned that this summer is not about me, its about the team and what were doing. Jon is a guy who will help weakercyclists on the bike, and energize us for our friendship visits nomatter how tired we may think we are. Unfortunately, due to the struggling economy and other circumstances Jon has not been able to raise the pre requisite amount of money and is in danger of being sent home. It would be devastating to the team if he is not with us for the entire trip. I am asking you to help out my team and Jon and donate. I have seen exactly where all of the money that we have raised goes and it is incredible. When we hand a check to a center for people with disabilities, the smiles make everything worthwhile. Your donations are tax deductible and will help out an incredible guy who I've become real close with. I've attached the link to his fundraising page below, andI can't tell you how much I appreciate your support. Thanks again, and were gunna keep doing what were doing all the way into DC!

Todd
