A little bio on me and the event ...

Todd Stacy
Year: Junior
School: UNC-Chapel Hill
Major: Political Science and History

My name is Todd Stacy and I am a Junior at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. This summer I will embark on a life changing journey. I will ride my bike over 4,000 miles, from San Francisco to Washington D.C., to benefit people with disabilities. I will be joining my brothers from the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, and will spend 65 days of my summer on this incredible adventure.

This event is run by Pi Kappa Phi's own national philanthropy organization, PUSH America. Since 1987 brothers of Pi Kappa Phi have been making the trip, and this year I will be one of over 80 men who participate in the Journey of Hope. One of the best aspects of the event is that every day we will make what are known as "friendship visits." This will give us the chance to interact with people with disabilities, and make a difference in the lives of many people across the country. These people will no doubt make a huge difference in our lives as well.
This experience is something that will undoubtedly stay with me for the rest of my life. I have set a goal of raising $7,000, all of which will go to PUSH America and helping people with disabilities. Thank you so much for your support, and I can't wait to get on the bike this summer!
